On January 20, 2025, President Trump bravely pardoned almost all the January 6 defendants. Except, he only commuted the sentences of 14 individuals that went to trial for Sedition. (Read about the false Sedition accusation here.) A commutation just gets a person out of jail. It does not offer "forgiveness" or the restoration of rights! President Trump promised to examine their cases more carefully and possibly upgrade them to a pardon. Two have already received a pardon or exoneration. One respectfully declines a pardon. There are 11 left to go!
