From David Moerschel's notes - 11/5/2023-Jesup, GA Prison
There have been a few improvements since my two month update. They issued jackets this week and I got a sweater and a knit cap. So I am not as cold as I was. Thank the Lord! I weighed myself, and unfortunately, I lost another 2.5 lb. I feel strong and healthy. I exercise well. Someone gave me vitamins. I was able to buy extra food. I am far from depressed. I am still trying to figure my nutrition out. It takes more food to live in cold, because the food is used as heat for your body. So I still need to buy warm clothes. I could not last week because it was either clothes or food. I chose food.
My wife said people expressed concern over my state and wanted to send money to help. Every little bit helps. But I am more concerned about my wife and three children. I was taken prisoner and left them without an income. I want their needs met before mine. They have no one to depend upon but our God. (And he has proven Himself faithful!) I am healthy and strong. I will be okay.
The greatest gift is prayer that will move mountains!
