These are some of the top questions for David:
You are a smart guy. How could you not know that was going to happen?
Hindsight is always 20/20. Trump had held many rallies in D.C. In particular, there was the Million MAGA March on November 14, 2020 that had nearly a million people. No riot broke out. There was another Million MAGA March on December 12, 2020, and no riot broke out. This was just supposed to be another Trump rally. No one knew January 6th would become "January 6th." Or did they?
There is evidence from Jan 6ers that were detained in the D.C. "gulag" that the guards were told before January 6th, 2021 to prepare the wing for protestors. It is well established that Nancy Pelosi declined 10,000 national guard soldiers ahead of January 6th. The Capitol Police waved protestors into the Capitol. One Capitol police officer removed a bicycle rack barrier to allow protestors into the restricted area. We believe the riot on January 6th was pre-planned by the "bad guys" and orchestrated.
Why were you not pardoned?
We don't know. Trump's administration has not reached out to tell us the plan.
We do know that something changed. Originally, Trump signaled that if you were violent or had assault charges, you might not be pardoned. Those were the cases they were going to examine. J.D. Vance echoed this on January 12th, 2025. However, if you were non-violent or did not have assault charges, you could expect a pardon. If that was the case David would have received a pardon. David's charges were all "thought crimes." He did no violence, nor did he encourage violence. In fact, no one in his group was charged with assault or violence. You can watch his video here and see for yourself.
There was a big push by the advocacy groups to extend the pardon to include those with assault charges. That advocacy must have worked, because Trump pardoned everyone including those with assault charges. However, he did not pardon those that went to trial for sedition.
Members of the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys that went to trial to defend their innocence were not pardoned. Some of the Oath Keepers that went to trial for sedition were not even found guilty of sedition. They were still not pardoned. There were two Oath Keepers that pleaded guilty to sedition, effectively saying "I did it!" Those two men were pardoned. So if you took a plea deal for sedition, you were pardoned. If you went to trial for sedition (even if you were not found guilty), you were not pardoned.
The best explanation we have is that Trump is playing a chess game. The 14 that were not pardoned are also co-defendants with Trump on civil suits related to January 6th. You can read more about the civil suits here. The theory is that if Trump pardoned those accused of sedition, he would have no reason to investigate those cases. He needed a reason to investigate the most serious accusations. Then, when he finds that there was no seditious conspiracy, which is in fact the truth, he can debunk the whole narrative. Once he is able to do that, it will undermine the claims of the civil suits and pave the way to have those cases dismissed.
You must have done something wrong!
Watch the video. Besides a "trespass," what did David do? Nothing. The prosecutors didn't even charge David with a trespass, because it was so clear on the video that he was pushed in. You can hear people yelling "push." You can see people holding onto the door trying not to go in. You can't be charged with a trespass if you entered a restricted area unwillingly. So what did David do?
The truth is, David was a patsy (noun, A person easily taken advantage of, cheated, or blamed). He is an innocent man who went to render medical aid to wounded police and protestors alike - as is his duty as a medical specialist. The DOJ under Joe Biden was weaponized against Trump and his supporters. They accused David and other Oath Keepers of conspiracies they never proved in trial.
